JCreates apps · Last updated August 5, 2026

This policy covers every iOS app published by JCreates (Joshua John), on the App Store or in TestFlight, including BoardFoot, Cascade: World Reaction Game, Cedar Closet, CoopLog, CraftPrice, CrumbKeeper, DiscCaddie, FlipLedger, Homelore, Homeprint, Mech Escape, PourCalc, ReefCadence, TipSplit, and WashQuote.

The short version

Your data stays on your device. We don't collect it, see it, sell it, or share it. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no ads, and no trackers in any JCreates app. The only exceptions are features you choose to use, and they are named in full below: iCloud backup and sync (your personal iCloud, which we cannot read), and Homelore's optional Ask assistant, which has to send your question to our server to answer it.

What the apps store

Everything you enter — products, prices, inventory, sales, mileage, eggs, feeds, scores, rounds, tank tests, tips, quotes, game progress, home details, settings — is stored locally on your device. There are no JCreates servers receiving a copy.

Camera and photos

Homeprint (room scanning), Homelore (documenting your home), and Cedar Closet (photographing your clothes) use the camera and photo library with your permission. The images stay on your device. None of our apps upload photos to us — the only way a photo leaves your device is if you share or export it yourself, or if you turn on iCloud sync in an app that offers it (see below).

iCloud backup and sync

Some apps can keep a copy of your data in your own iCloud account: CoopLog can save automatic daily backups to its iCloud Drive folder, and Homelore can sync your home record across your devices with iCloud (CloudKit). This data lives in your personal iCloud, is protected by your Apple Account, and is never accessible to JCreates. Turning these features off keeps everything solely on-device. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles iCloud data.

Homelore's Ask assistant

Homelore includes an optional assistant that answers questions about your home, and an optional lookup that fetches locality information (for example, emergency shut-off guidance for your area). When you use these features, your question and the details of your home needed to answer it are sent over an encrypted connection to our service and processed by an AI model to generate the reply. We use this data only to produce your answer: it is not used for advertising, not sold, and not used to build a profile of you. If you never use Ask, nothing is sent. As Homelore is in beta, these features may evolve — this page will be updated before any change in practice takes effect.

Backups and exports

If you use an app's backup or export feature (JSON, CSV, or PDF), the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it (Files, AirDrop, email, etc.). That sharing is entirely under your control.

Purchases

Some apps (CraftPrice, FlipLedger, Homeprint, Mech Escape) offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. These are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details. Purchase receipts are validated on-device via Apple's StoreKit. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

Analytics and tracking

The apps contain no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers. We may see anonymized, aggregate crash reports and sales figures through Apple's App Store Connect (only if you've opted in to sharing analytics with developers in iOS Settings). These contain no personal information.

Children

Our apps do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future app or feature ever changes this policy, we'll update this page and note it in the app's release notes before the change takes effect.
