Effective: August 25, 2026
Splice is built so that your game data never leaves your device.
Everything the game creates, from your run history and codex progress to your streak, unlocked cosmetics, and settings, is stored only on your device in the app's local storage. There are no Splice servers, and nothing is uploaded. Even the worldwide daily run works this way: the day's seed is computed on your device from the date, so every player gets the same arena without any server being involved.
If you sign in to Apple's Game Center, Splice can submit your scores to its leaderboards and report which of its achievements you have earned. That data goes to Apple under your own Apple Account and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. Splice never stores or sends a Game Center identifier itself. If you decline or are signed out, those features simply hide and the game plays the same. Splice has no multiplayer server: the drones and lasers are simulated on your own device.
Splice offers optional cosmetic in-app purchases, including the Gene Pass weekly subscription. They change how the game looks and never how it plays. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. Purchase management and payment information are handled by the App Store; Splice never sees your payment details. Purchase entitlements are checked on-device via Apple's StoreKit. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
If you allow notifications, Splice schedules at most one local reminder per day on your device. These are created and delivered entirely on your device. Nothing about them is sent to us, and there is no push server.
Splice does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
